3. What the driving distances and times from San Francisco, Sacramento, Napa, Silicon Valley and Monterey to the Tri-Valley?
Drive times in the San Francisco Bay Area fluctuate depending upon the hour of the day. Weekday morning and evening commute times (7:00 am - 9:00 am and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm) will increase drive times throughout the Bay Area.

4. What are the general traffic rules in the Tri-Valley?
Speed Limits
The speed limit within city limits and near schools is 25 miles per hour unless signs indicate otherwise.
Right on Red
You may turn right at a red light after making a full stop, unless signs indicate otherwise.
Drinking and Driving
It is illegal to operate a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .08% or higher. If arrested for driving under the influence, you must submit to a chemical test to determine blood alcohol content.
Driving Speed
Drivers moving slower than the general flow of traffic are required to stay in the right-most lanes.
Motorcycle Right of Way
Although it is discouraged, motorcycles do have the right to share lanes between rows of vehicles on freeways and city streets.
Vehicle Weight
Motorcoach drivers are advised to adhere to posted street signage regarding allowable vehicle weight and height on city street and roads.
Vehicular Accidents
You must report an accident to the Department of Motor Vehicles if anyone is injured, killed or if more than $500 in damage is incurred.

5. Where is the Tri-Valley Visitor Information Center located?
Our Visitor Center is located at 349 Main Street, Suite 203, Pleasanton, CA. Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We are closed on all Federal holidays. Get Driving Directions now!
6. What is the Tri-Valley, California climate like?
Our average daytime temperature is 68 degrees, although we can top 100 degrees during the peak summer months. Most of the year is sunny, but winter does bring showers. We are below the snow line (altitude 335-480 feet above sea level), but the mountain ranges surrounding the Tri-Valley have been known to get a dusting or two during the winter. We recommend that you bring a sweater or light jacket to assure your comfort.
7. What is appropriate attire for the Tri-Valley, California?
Our community is casual and friendly. Although shorts, flip flops or skimpy attire are too casual for dinner at our more upscale restaurants, casual sportswear is appropriate for nearly all Tri-Valley, California locations.
