Don't let the dirt road deter you from discovering one the best winemakers in the Livermore Valley. Charles R Vineyards, a small family-owned winery, is tucked away in a valley on an old mining road in Livermore. Here, you can enjoy handcrafted premium wines and meet the winemaker, Randy Bartlett and his family. The tasting room is beautiful and filled with local products. Be sure to buy a bottle and settle into a chair on the patio to enjoy with your girlfriends.

Wood Family Vineyards is a family run winery located in the eastern foothills of Livermore Valley. Specializing in limited production handcrafted wines, Rhonda Wood is one of the sole female winemakers in Livermore. Be sure to try the 2007 Chardonnay, Para Mas Amigas (wine "for more girlfriends."), made for Rhonda's girlfriends who kept requesting a Chardonnay to drink.
